Leg-type bases (tapered, square, turned, or curved) are the most cost-effective option for a conventional dining table design. Round and square dining tables look great with a single-base design. Longer tables and tight seating conditions benefit from double pedestal and trestle dining tables.

  • Choose the perfect size The shape of your dining room table will affect its capacity in part. Round tables are more favorable for conversation than rectangular tables, but they can accommodate relatively few people. As guests are closer together and everyone faces one another, larger square dining tables are more excellent for interaction than rectangular tables. Tips for selecting the right custom dining table

  • Each individual should have approximately 2 feet of space to dine comfortably.
  • The required table width must be 3 feet if the sides of the table are likely to hold a diner 4 feet if you plan to serve two diners more occasionally.
  • The distance between the table’s edges and the walls should be at least 3 feet. This provides enough space for chairs to be brought out for seating.
  • Consider tables that can be enlarged by adding leaves. For regular use, it’s preferable to allow plenty of room around a table, then expand it as needed for large gatherings or celebrations.
